Institute of Fine Chemicals has been involved in R & D activities in and manufacture of medicinal intermediates and advanced materials for over ten years. The R & D facilities include those for preliminary study, model experiment, bench-scale experiment and pilot test. The processes and catalysts for manufacture of alkyl phenol, i., g., 2,3,5-trimethyl phenol, 2,3,6-trimethyl phenol,3,5-dimethyl phenol, 2,6- dimethyl phenol and o-cresol have been commercialized or under commercialization.
